Dr. W N Gade , honorable vice Chancellor Savitribai Phule Pune University , His Excellency Lezesk Bernad , Council General of Republic of Poland, Mumbai , Dr. E B Khedkar , Dean of Faculty of Management Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dr. Kurt Kirstein, Dean City University Seattle , Dr. Pradeep Kumar, President Indo European Education foundation Poland.

The Program started by seeking the blessings of godess Sarisvati by lighting the lamp. Over 372 papers were received out of which 16 were from countries like Poland, Mexico, USA, and Italy & 56 papers were given by students.

On this occasion the journals with 7 Vol. bearing ISSN No. , E journal and ASM Business Review magazine were also released.

Our 1st guest Speaker Honorable Speaker Dr W N Gade Vice Chancellor Savitribai Phule Pune University, insisted on research component in education for enhancing the quality and overall development of students, he also insisted on interdisciplinary approach for a boundary less development of management graduates.

The next Speaker His Excellency Lezesk Bernad , Council General of Republic of Poland, Mumbai , insisted on more and more calibration of Indian and Polish Universities.

The Key note address given by Dr. Kurt Kirstein, Dean City University Seattle were he discussed the challenges in delivering International Business in IT Education in global economy, as the students not only comprise of a single country but form all over the world. He insisted on proficiency in English being the common language for international courses and universities. He also insisted on the relevance of program content to region form where the students belong and suggested foreign case studies to be included in the curriculum, which may students may use in there careers in MNCs.

The next Speaker Dr. Pradeep Kumar, President Indo European Education foundation Poland also concentrated on the collaboration of Indian and Polish Universities.

Dr. E B Khedkar , Dean of Faculty of Management Savitribai Phule Pune University , insisted on improving the research quality and changing the old thoughts by adoption the new ways of improvement.

The student’s crowd from in and around Maharashtra started trickling in from 7:30 AM to get a FCFS entry to the Job Fair. The student registration system was smooth with each student to fill a form and get an entry, thus spreading the crowd. There was ample space for each candidate to complete form filling. Each registered student got a list of companies with exact room/floor/ building number which helped them get into the relevant building for his/her pick of the job. On completing the registration formality students had an option to wait at relevant room or attend the Inaugural session at 10:00 AM.

There was a separate registration counter for companies (90 registered) who all came by 9:30 AM. Each company had one faculty and 3-7 students allotted depending on the number of job postings the company had!! Soon after the registration the faculty/student took care of company executives by offering them Tea & snacks and then escorting them to the Inaugural room.

The fair was inaugurated at 10 am sharp by Mr. Arun Firodia, Chairman, Kinetic Group in the presence of Dr. Sandeep Pachpande – Chairman, Dr. Asha Pachpande – Managing Trustee & Secretary, Prof Parbha Shankar, Director-Corporate Relation ASM Group of Institutes and Mr. U.S. Kulkarni, Employment Officer-Employment & Self Employment Guidance Centre, Government of Maharashtra. The room with a capacity of 400 was full with company representatives, Press, students & faculties with quite a few standing to hear the Chief Guest. Dr. Sandeep Pachpande, Chairman ASM Group of Institutes introduced the event & gave his vision for the event. He urged students to not to look for package but for good profiles, which will take them quite far in their Career. He emphasized the need for discipline, time management and above all agility & curiosity to succeed in life.

The chief guest, Mr. Arun Firodia chairman Kinetic Group, in his Inaugural address asked the young job seekers to take inspiration from some of the important industrialists who reached the top from nowhere by their sheer determination. He named some of them, which included, Jamshed Tata, Abasaheb Garware, and Jagannath Shankar Sheth & Walchand. He suggested to students to be Entrepreneurial in their approach as that will be the next big thing. The interesting narration of Shree Walchand Hirachand’s life achievements inspired students to think positively and strategically use technology for speed. He further mentioned, we need to learn from the Chinese on their technique, efforts and skills for producing more & better quality goods. Dr Asha Pachpande Managing Trustee & secretary ASM Group felicitated the Chief Guest.

The IT Placement Brochure 2014 for ASM Group students was also launched on this occasion. The Job Fair was attended by companies like Thermax, Hyundai Construction, Exide, Mercedes Benz, Lumax Mahindra, e-Clerx, NIIT, Force Motors, SKF & ICICI Group, Trizeto, Auto line, Dmech, Emcure, Finolex, Sai Prasad, Sears Holding, Muthoot Finance, Valens Infotech etc. among others. There was a good mix of Manufacturing, Services and IT Industries.

Prof. Parbha Shankar proposed the vote of thanks and assured Mr. Arun Firodia Chief Guest that the ASM Group shall definitely work out Mr. Walchand’s Birth anniversary as an Entrepreneurial day as both the Chairman & Managing Trustee of ASM Group of Institutes were committed to this.

There was an overwhelming response to this fair with close to nine thousand job seekers seeking better opportunities. The fair attracted almost 90 leading companies offering a variety of jobs for all sections present. More than five thousand job interviews conducted by the companies present on the occasion and 300 ASM students were short listed. The program was compeered by Prof Rajeshwari Patil & Shakti Maratha.

Excellent Canteen and other facilities were provided to manage such a huge crowd, with wonderful space Management. All this was possible only with the Dynamic leadership of the Chairman and a controlled & steady support by the Managing Trustee and Secretary, Dr Asha Pachpande. An Excellent Teamwork by the students, Teaching and Non Teaching Faculty and admin staff under the guidance of the management made this Mega Event smooth and successful which was wound up exactly by 7pm.
